  • Hardy Wetlands & Bog Plants

Hardy Wetlands & Bog Plants (66)

Most of these plants are shipped in a 2" plastic pot to contain the generous root structure. Most plants vary in size from about 10" to about 24" when shipped, depending on species type. Obviously some of the shoreline creepers will ship shorter, but you can be assured that when you order from our family's company, you are getting quality, generous plants that you will enjoy for years to come.  Most marginal or bog plants should just be planted right into rocks and leave these plants in the plastic containers as they came in.  There is no need for expensive aquatic soils, or fancy planting baskets as it is just not necessary.  If you need help with your order, or help with information on the correct plants for your project, just give us a call.  Click on the CONTACT link at the top of this page for 7 day a week water consulting.  Since 1987, we are a trusted source for pond plants, bog plants & marginal plants for wetlands restoration projects to simple home water gardening ponds!
  • Oxygenating Pond Plants

    Oxygenating Pond Plants (36)

These are one of the most important pond plants you can introduce to any body of water! If you don't have these plants, your pond can fail, not to mention look, and smell, like a sewage treatment plant! The only alternative to using oxygenators is to use expensive or unhealthy algaecides! These plants help clean the water, remove algae, and promote clarity, produce oxygen to create good biological balance! A must for all water gardens! A quick and good rule of thumb is to use 1 bunch per sq. foot of surface area for your pond. Take your pond's average length and times it by the average width, this will equal the number of bunches you need for your pond. You can also mix and match different species of plants for better variety. Example: If you have a pond that is 5 feet long and 5 feet wide...5 x 5 = 25 bunches of plants.
