This is one of those fish we highly doubt you'll see in the pet store, but a real treasure to find if you do! The Spotted Climbing Perch, as it is commonly known, is one of the most beautiful and colorful species of the Ctenopoma genus. It is a bubble-nest builder that requires a densely planted aquarium with allot of plants that have hanging roots and also African driftwood. Known as a "climbing fish" as they are patient predators and will hide in the plants awaiting for a meal to pass them by. This fish will do fine with tank mates of the same size or larger. Leopard fish love soft water, that is slightly acidic, and warm (refer to above guidelines). These are a very slow-moving fish that will hang out in all areas of your aquarium and will live best when in small schools.
