Dwarf Honey Red Gourami Fish
Colisa chuna Size: Up to 2" pH: 6.0 - 7.5, thrive at 6.8 Temp: 72-84F Origin: Indian Rivers & SE Asia Additives: Freshwater Essential found at Aquarium Additives Food: New Life Spectrum "Community Fish Formula" found at Fish Foods The Dwarf Honey-Red Gourami is an omnivore Labyrinth Fish like a Betta, so it must have access to the surface of your aquarium to breathe. We've had numerous requests to carry this fish due to the appealing small dwarf size, and the shortage of females apparently not available to the public. Both male and female of this species are similar in color except the males become a more honey-red color and also have more prominent striping during courting and spawning. We have found this species to be very easy to care for, and not very demanding. They are a very peaceful fish that seem to mind their own business and not too finicky of an eater as well. During spawning the male will build a bubblenest and may become territorial toward other fish. Males should be removed from tank after spawning and females a couple days after hatching as they will eat the frye. These fish prefer a heavily planted aquarium An ideal addition to most community tanks with livebearers, Tetras, Danios, Rasboras, Rainbowfish, Loaches, Barbs, plecos, and most scavengers. Size at shipping: about 1" +, SHIPS GREAT! The minimum purchase of these fish is 2. We are not selling pairs or sexed fish. 2 is just a minimum purchase amount. If you only purchase 2 fish, you could a pair, you could also get 2 females, or 2 males.
