Color and vigor of fish can be negatively affected by lack of trace minerals. Koi Essential replaces biologically important trace minerals which are often used by fish and plants and removed through filtration in ponds and water gardens. This products contains no detrimental heavy metals, phosphates, or nitrates, or silicates. Does not promote algae growth.

Use 1 teaspoon per 100gal of capacity every week. 1 - 16oz bottle treats 3,000 gallons

I have been using this stuff with Phoenix tap water and my Discus are thriving! It is awesome stuff, I just add a little every week and they are happy fish. No need for an expensive RO system. These fish are happy as can be in tap water with this product!
