The Rusty Cichlid is not a particularly aggressive fish and may be bullied by more aggressive tank mates. The base color of this species is brown, but with the right feedings, the adults should develope an attractive purple sheen. The females will also have identical colorings as the males. The are also mouth brooders and may spawn between 5-60 eggs. |
