Terrarium Plants & Hermit Crabs

B = BOG PLANTS - Ideal for very wet environments as their roots love being wet or submersed indefinitely, as long as the plants leaves are above the water. Submersing the whole plant will kill it.

T = TERRESTRIAL PLANTS - Require a much drier environment than bog plants. The root system should not sit in water for long periods of time as this will cause root rot. Temporary submerse okay but only for a very short term.

Potted Tropical Plants

Grown in 4" plastic pots, Ideal for all Terrariums & Viquariums!

Carnivorous Plants
These are sold as loose unpotted plants.  Carnivorous plants attract, capture, and kill animal life forms.   They also digest and adsorb the nutrients from the prey.

Non-carnivorous plants like most flowers still attract pollenators like birds, insects and other creatures, but use them to pollenate and do not eat them.   Some plants like Orchids, and Water Lilies can temporarily trap insects to ensure pollenation.

Carnivorous plants are an ideal addition to any pondside edge, terrarium, paludarium, etc.

Lucky Bamboo

 Dracaena

If you have been looking for a perfect plant for your table top fountain, look no more.  We are now selling Lucky Bamboo.  An oriental aquatic bamboo that is native to Southeast Asia.  We sell our 3 pack as 3 stalks tied together with a gold band.  1 stalk is 12", 1 is 10", and the smallest is 8".   They are simple to grow, and hard to kill.  The roots must never dry out.   They grow well in a small puddle of water, but NO direct sunlight.

Lucky Bamboo, symbolizes strength, lasting friendship and blessings of happiness.  It's hollow stem is a metaphor for open-mindedness and integrity, bowing before the storm but rising again unbroken.

Tied together in bundles of three for positive thoughts, words, and deeds for all that be.

Mexican Ionantha Tillandsia Airplants

Tillandsias are unusual airplants.  They are also a delightful addition to any greenhouse, or habitat. They are easy to care for, exotic to look at, and interesting to study. They prefer light airy conditions and daily misting in areas of low humidity. They must be brought into protection from any freeze, but a light frost will not usually damage them. This varietie likes a little more water and shade. Any can be grown in your sunniest indoor area. Enjoy your tillandsia plant for years of blooming and pupping (production of offspring) with good light, fresh air, and adequate but not overabundant watering, particularly in cooler weather.  They can be easily attached to rocks, wood, glass, etc.   The plant in the photo to the left is a ionantha in bloom attached to cholla wood.

One Plant Your Cost Only: $1.20 (no limit!)  add to cart
